One of the most important and fundamental ideas of the postmodern school of fiction is the characteristic of uncertainty, which is based on relativism and skepticism about all realities, as well as considering the truths of the universe as illusory. Sadegh Hedayat, a powerful writer from Iran, and Ali Badr, a prominent novelist from Iraq, both have introduced the element of uncertainty into their works, and each has highlighted various manifestations of postmodern relativism and skepticism in their narratives through the application of this characteristic. In light of the importance of the issue and also due to the existence of the necessary capacities in the narratives studied from the perspective of postmodernist reading, the present study - which is in the field of comparative literature and is formed in an analytical-descriptive manner - seeks to compare and analyze the two narratives in order to evaluate the commonalities in the narratives of The Asatezat Al-Wahm and Boofe kour from the perspective of highlighting the characteristic of lack of certainty. The findings of the study show that both authors, by using negative grammatical propositions, excessive use of words with semantic connotations of illusion and relativity, the use of paradoxical techniques, and the excessive use of interrogative words in the context of the narrative, have been able to confirm their belief in distrust of all the truths and realities of the surrounding environment and clearly show that in the postmodern era there is no certainty and everything that exists is uncertain.
