The influence of the Holy Quran and the noble Prophetic traditions is evident in the poetry of all those who sought to serve humanity through literature, including Abdullah ibn Rawaha. A study of his poetry reveals the remarkable impact of this influence in the vocabulary he employs, with its specific connotations and meanings, and in the profound concepts derived from them. In this research, we studied the impact of the noble Prophetic Hadith, with its vocabulary, structures, and concepts, on the poetry of Ibn Rawaha in the first and second Battles of Badr, within the framework of Hadith intertextuality based on Gerard Genette’s theory, using a descriptive analytical approach. After an analytical study of his poems within the specific historical timeframe from the perspective of intertextuality of its various types, as seen by Genette, whether explicit, implicit, or hidden, we concluded that the poet benefits from the lofty concepts of the noble prophetic hadiths in the best possible way, line by line, within the framework of implicit intertextuality, and he did not benefit from the sentences or structures of the noble hadiths in their exact form or by changing them even slightly, in order to preserve the sanctity of the noble prophetic Sunnah. Implicit intertextuality is the only type used in his poems.
